Allow us to introduce Jo Hurley, the Product Manager extraordinaire at Beauty Product Development, whose decade-long experience in the beauty industry brings a unique blend of organisational prowess, supply chain management expertise, and an infectious passion for creating innovative and successful products.

A Decade in Beauty:

Jo's journey in the beauty industry began over 20 years ago, where she cultivated her skills in Brand Marketing. Having gained corporate expertise at Nestlé she joined Boots No7 skincare, establishing herself as a valuable team player in the competitive world of beauty and cosmetics

No7 Beauty Skincare Range

She was a pivotal member of the Marketing & NPD team that relaunched the brand in 2004 with a new logo, packaging, advertising and in store merchandising.  She introduced several new products including Protect & Perfect Serum, which achieved huge success in 2007 after appearing on the BBC2 Horizon programme and continues to be one of the brand’s best sellers.

Subsequently Jo's role as Head of Marketing for bmibaby showcased her ability to navigate diverse challenges, laying the foundation for her future successes. During her time at bmibaby she led the team responsible for all aspects of the customer journey from media advertising, website content and online booking, to what the plane looked like, and the food passengers ate. She managed a multimillion-pound budget where decisions were made quickly in a very fast paced environment.

Floral Street Fragrences

In 2017, Jo played a pivotal role in launching Floral Street Fragrances, a disruptive brand that has gone on to make waves in the beauty market, winning countless awards. Her strategic mindset and dedication were crucial in the explosive growth of the brand. Notably, Jo managed the intricate web of supply chain logistics for both new and existing products, ensuring the seamless production and stock management of the entire product range, whilst being nimble to the many changes faced by the start-up on such an exponential journey.

As a member of Beauty Product Development's team, Jo brings more than just managerial skills to the table; she brings a passion for detail and a commitment to collaborative success. Known for her love of spreadsheets, Jo navigates the complexities of product development and supply chain management with finesse, ensuring that every aspect of the process is executed flawlessly.

However, beyond the numbers and spreadsheets, Jo's true passion lies in bringing new products to life. Her creative spirit thrives in the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of the beauty industry. Jo's ability to blend creativity with strategic thinking has been a driving force behind the success of the products she has been involved with, making her an indispensable team player.
